Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 onion (chopped)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 jalapeños (chopped)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 package wonton wrappers
  • 1 box Tony Chachere Chili Seasoning Mix
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • oil for frying
Instructions
  1. Saute onions in olive oil over medium heat until softened. Stir in garlic and let cook for one minute.

  2. Add in ground beef and saute in the vegetables until fully cooked. Use your cooking utensil to break down ground beef while it cooks so there’s no large chunks of beef. Drain oil from skillet.

  3. Stir in the chili seasoning mix until the meat and vegetables are fully coated. Add in jalapenos and saute until softened. Season to taste with Tony’s. Turn off heat and stir in cream cheese until melted and meat mix if full coated.

  4. Dip finger in egg and coat the edges of a wonton wrapper on all sides. Add a teaspoon or so of the meat mix to the center of the wonton. Fold one corner of the wrapper to meet the opposite corner and it makes a triangle. Press the sides of the triangle to seal. Continue until you’ve created your desired amount of wontons.

  5. Fry wontons in batches of no more than 5 over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes on each side. Remove from oil immediately once browned.  Enjoy!
